Update on ICE & failure to start

    For what it is worth, and if it happens to someone else:

    Some of you may recall that I posted about a vexing problem this fall, when my ICE failed to start on a wooded forest road -- here's that thread for those interested ICE not running -- Car stuck on forest road | PriusChat

    after the car had sat under a fir tree for a day or three it ended up starting and all the warning lights went away. I ended up taking it to the dealer though and while they replaced a leaking water pump, never found any cause for the ICE failure.

    A few weeks after that, I moved to Iowa -- a 1,900-mile drive, I was a BIT anxious, but no problems

    So, for the record, apparently Phantom No-Starts do happen. Just hoping not happening again to me.

    And here I thought we were finally going to find out the cause, but it's still a mystery.

    On a side note, I did here that there were a lot of UFO sightings over the US north west around Sept 21/22 this year. (Cue twilight zone music). ;)
