These noises suddenly appeared, and I don't know what is causing them it sounds like a pump or something. This is after the car has been running for 4 hours. Climate/fans are off, brake is not pressed, and it's in park.
Uh oh. I was about to get the coolant replaced since it's at 130k, and for some reason my mom who was the previous owner never did it at 100k. Could it be the water pump also?
I think I might be hearing some clunking sounds, but it is very faint. My guess is the coolant flow control valve. Maybe try again and this time make the recording from the front, with the hood open, with the phone as close to the noise maker as possible. Quote from Yogi Berra: "You can see a lot, just by looking."
So I opened the hood, but could not hear any noises other than inside the car. I recorded a new sound that happens after about 1 minute after the car has been turned off. Also, I do get strange "wah, wah, wah, wah" noises when the car is being driven around; it sounds like the car is trying to pump something, but just isn't able to do so. I'm not sure if all of those noises are related
