Hey guys, I'm getting ready to plasti dip my engine cover to match the JDM covers. How easy is it to remove that cover. Lemme know, cheers!
Show us a picture after you are done. I think I kind of like the contrast. But I'd be curious as to how it looks once it is done.
The cover severs no purpose, I keep our engine clean, and fluid level's full. Because we drive the crap out of our car, and fast.
On our Christmas trip to western Washington I did do the intake blocks this time. Damn it was cold and snowy in eastern OR and WA .
I think the cover makes the engine bay look better. More modern. As a cover it might also keep some dirt off of the engine, and it also may retain just a little more heat, which may aid in heating the engine up that much faster. Cosmetic value is a value. I wouldn't automatically default to the idea that the cover serves no purpose. I think you're fine without. Engines have operated for years without plastic covers. But personally? I see little value in throwing it out. I mean how hard is it to remove and put back?
