That I don't know. Most of what information I have is reading between the lines.

Tesla will probably not sell many cars because of the almost $100,000 price tag. What I see pessimistically, is that the average Americans' quality of life and standard of living is going to go down. I hope I am wrong on this belief. There is a spark of hope for Tesla because the projected classification of those that would buy this kind of vehicle are positive.

The love affair for the Pri (Plural for Prius) is such that if the baby is dirty and the Prius is dirty, the Prius gets washed first. I doubt that car will be washed first.

Even Nissan has fallen in love with the Prius. They have an agreement with Toyota to use the Prius hybrid as their own.

Haven't heard about this. Nissan did license the THS for the Altima to meet CARB requirements until the Leaf came along, but with the Leaf and their own hybrid system I didn't think they needed Toyota's intellectual property anymore.

Now, Mazada doesn't have a hybrid, and they partnered with Toyota to make one for the Japanese market.

edit: Should have known Masada was wrong when the spellcheck didn't flag it. Look at that spellcheck flags spellcheck.

    I agree 100% with you.

One thing that impresses me about the Prius is there are no bugs in my 2011 Prius 2. Any new and complicated thing always has a few. The only bug I am aware of in the older Pri (Plural for Prius) is they needed larger motors to back up in the hills of San Francisco.

Toyota at one time made Pontiacs along with GM years ago in California.

Can you imagine if this car has an accident with a Johnny truck!

Think of what will happen to Apple if they enter into the car business and their cars turn into a clunker. I believe people buy big cars to impress their neighbors and their egos.
