I dont have cc in my 2008 prius But in torque i seen thers a button i can select as cc Can i use it to turn cc on And is it safe to even try it?
If you can select cruise control it will not be cancelled by pressing the brake pedal as the extra switch contacts on the pedal are not there. So this could be dangerous as the car will always try to keep to the set speed.The Prius cruise control is very reactive and the car will accelerate hard if the speed is bought down below the set speed "the speed at which the cruise was activated" with the brakes. Braking will not be by regen because the car will be trying to accelerate while using normal brakes. John (Britprius)
