Yes, in the U.S., federal regulations require it. All new cars produced since September 1, 2007, must have TPMS. Tire-pressure monitoring system - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I looked thru PDF of Prius c owners manual, found several mentions that it does. But danged if I could find picture in dash cluster section identifying the specific icon. With our hatchback I'm only looking at that icon 4-5 months every winter, think I can remember what it looks like? It's in upper right corner of dash on ours fwiw.
Thank to all who replied and thanks for the .jpg, but I already knew what the icon looked like. It does in fact show up on startup, I could not see it yesterday due to my angle of sight with respect to the dash as the icon is in the extreme upper right whereas ALL the other warning icons are grouped in a square area apart from the tpms icon and lower down. I can easily see all the icons in the square area but I actually need to bend down to glimpse the tpms icon in the extreme upper right or I won't see it at all. So.. I feel a little foolish now, but relieved. Thanks again..
