Hey guys! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone what you post in this forum. I bought my first Prius on July 13th. A 2012 Prius C Four. I had a 2012 Honda I traded in to get this car and I have never been happier. I immediately jumped online to look over options to make my car more personal and stumbled upon Prius Chat. I saw a lot you guys doing some plasti dip which instantly made me want to do it. So my first weekend having the car that's what I did. I'm still looking into some more mods such as: Shark Fin Antenna HID BULBS INJEN Air Filter If you guys know of anything else I should consider looking into please let me know. Again thanks for the invaluable resource that is this website. I've posted pictures of my project this week to show what I did and to help anyone out if they have any questions.
Thanks. Yeah I had planned to do it that weekend. Friday I finished grabbing everything for the project went and checked the weather and it was going to be 101 outside. Even though it sucked being out all day in it I loved the project. Just something about working on the car and making it my own made it bareable.
That's the plus side to plasti dip. I like it now but if I ever get tired of it I can peel it right off.
It looks great. A huge contrast between standard and 'customized'. How well does the Plastidip hold up with weather, washing, etc?
It's been pretty warm so it's held up well to that. I've even rubbed my hand over it to remove dirt and stuff with no problem. I'm going to wash it this weekend so I will know for sure how it holds up to that. The guys at dipyourcar have some videos which show them pressure washing it and running it through a car wash without any issues so I dont expect to have a problem this weekend.
