I guess it's more of an annoyance thing than anything else. When I drive I like to rest my knee on the this area where the window switch is. If I drive over a bump etc...this area squeaks. Is it worth having the dealer fix or will it just return. If anyone with the same issue can chime in I would appreciate it. The door piece where the window switch is tends to squeak when I rest my knee on it. Driving over bumps, etc....any quick fix...other than not resting my knee on it. if you don't rest your knee on it, it doesn't squeak? does it only happen when your knee is resting on it? the door panel is easy to take off, you probably just need some wd40 in there.
That a given, but I was wondering if anyone has the same issue and if they fixed it themselves. It's just more annoying than anything. Yes that's the only time I hear it which means when weight is applied hats what forces the squeak to be heard. Otherwise it's fine. That is correct.
Hmm. Can you remove the window switch, then drive it and see if it still makes the noise. Isolate the noise, this will also help the technician to fix your car. That is if you can find the cause of said noise. Mine has a noise at the middle speaker. I put tape beneath the speaker and no more noise. LG-D851 ?
If there's a squeak, just bring the car to the dealer and get yourself a free donut and car wash. let them figure it out, that's why you have a new car with a warranty
Yes, it really does help the tech to steer them in the right direction. Take a ride with the tech and replicate the noise. Otherwise, you'll get the car back with "unable to duplicate". It happens sometimes when people have repairs done by non dealership people. Then they go running back to the dealer saying My car has this problem, and it just happened. Yeah right. LG-D851 ?
