Found this one also hiding on Youtube. You can see the instrument cluster is centred like in the current model...I hope they did something different with the centre console. Enjoy! Just wanted to add some screen shots from the video. Something I noticed here that wasn't on the other test cars, was the small circular cut out on the rear quarter panel exposing what looks like red tail light lens. That would likely indicate the lenses are a boomerang shape as seen on some of the renderings. Also, as bisco pointed out the car appears to have a lower centre of gravity, which you can see from the seating position of the driver. Found another YouTube video of the same 2016 Prius testing on the California freeway July 31st. Here's a screen shot. Not a great view, but have a look. BTW..here is the link for that video...warning..vehicle doesn't appear until 1 minute 39 seconds in.
looks like the real mcmuffin. much sportier looking than the gen III. notice the lower center of gravity? should handle like a champ. they really squared up the rear end and dropped the hood. windshield looks more vertical and no more split rear. did you se the shark fin and side mirror mounts? crickets.
I wager they still have the split rear window. I think it is just covered up with some of the tarp. ------------------------- Ok naysayers, let's hear ya'll claim, oh it's not the 4th gen Prius ....which is akin to saying Toyota just spent billions making an all new body of car and is testing it around the world for the hell of it, just for fun. Yeah, that makes sense. C'mon, let's hear the denials. That is 101 South just a few miles North of San Mateo (notice Poplar Ave.). Forgot the name of the point way off to left with golf course there. anyhow, the video looks skewed off center and draped car looks more like a compact, but it could be 4th gen.
Cycledrum, I'm sure the wide angle lens on the dash cam had something to do with it making the car look a bit tall and narrow. If you notice some of the larger SUV's in that left lane don't appear as wide as they really are. Anyway, it is the 4th generation Prius, like it or not. I'm certainly more hopeful that I'm going to like it, after seeing the San Francisco video. Cheers!
Found these on Twitter. Posted on July 8th. Two different Gen 4 test cars here, neither appear to be the one from the videos. Wow, the second photo gives a good view of how large the side windows are, especially in the front. I'm really surprised we haven't had a lot more photos & video with these cars running around out there.
The two different Prius models again (different wheels btwn the first two and the last picture). Also, what is Juan driving? A Miata or S2K? Those pics are really low to the ground!
Priusfan500, you are doing a great job finding photos of the new Prius. First I though these last photos might be the Hyundai, but from the rear wiper, they don't seem to be.
Priusfan500 is the Sherlock Holmes on the internet. Nobody else can find what he finds.... strange.... I still believe it is Doug...
New Video (short)..San Bruno last week..posted on Instagram. Hope some professional car spies are seeing this...seems to be a lot of testing going on in the San Francisco to San Mateo corridor. Fyi Navigate, I'm not Doug, and I don't work for Toyota Enjoy! Here's the link, and a few screen shots. INK361 - A web interface for Instagram and so much more.
