Hello I joined to learn the basics before buying. So far I have skimmed over a couple of the stickies. I may have found a good candidate though. It's got most of the attributes we look for in used cars: 1 owner, dealer maintained, history av, garaged. Not that many miles. Is there any reason the hybrid battery would be replaced other than its 12+ years old?
I have mixed feelings about that one. Yeah, could be good, maybe. I DIY the regular maintenance, keep good records, garage stored, keep it clean inside and out, in all the corners AND the underside/suspension. It goes into dealership for warning lights and recalls, that's about it. I wouldn't put to much weight on dealership maintenance: depending on the place that can mean excessive, unneeded service, neglect of others, overfilled oil, over torqued bolts, damaged underpanels. All done, lol.
All records of maintenance is good indication of very well-cared vehicle. If its in pristine condition, its a great find.
12+ years .... '03 ??? or '04 .... some of the 1st '04 deliveries were that early. It'd definitely be a plus if it's an '04 because the parts are WAY WAY more common. In the event you have something eventually happen, the parts will definitely be available as the 2nd gen parts were produced for a half dozen years. ... and welcome!
