Dealership wants 90 dollars to replace the rear wiper the car wash broke off. Where is the cheapest place I can get a new rear wiper arm? Thank you
Usually, if it's a drive through car wash, with mine they put a piece of tape on it to hold it as I drive through. But they also have several large signs stating how they won't be held responsible for damage to such things. They often tape the rear view wiper, and remove the antennae. I have to say any type of OEM replacement from the dealership that is coming in under $100 bucks sounds pretty good to me. I suppose you could dig up cheaper alternatives. But if they can replace it as good as new for $90? I don't know if any savings would be worth it to me. Craigslist, junkyards, amazon....you can search and maybe find a slightly cheaper option, but is the "risk" and time and trouble worth it?
not sure if this is right, but they list the part #8524147030 rear wiper arm for $50. msrp, their price $36. plus shipping. there may be more to it though. yep, you need a blade too, $9.24 plus rubber probably.
Check out eBay - I just found one for $25 (free shipping) for a 2014 (from your info.) - Good luck! - Wil
I have the blade, arm, and motor (removed from my car at ~4,000 miles). Been meaning to sell them anyway; PM me if you want them.
