Hi priuschat! I'm a new Prius owner, just purchased a 2011 Prius Two not II because it isn't a 2010 and 2010 used the uppercase Roman numerals with 114k miles for $9k from a local Toyota dealer. I purchased one of those Techstream VCI cables from Amazon in order to disable the reverse beep and passenger beeps. While I was on Techstream I noticed that two codes show up: P3000 and U0155. From my googling the U0155 sometimes comes up from plugging in these cheap mini VCI cables so I'm not too worried However for the P3000 code I'm concerned but a little bit confused. The code is currently checked inside "History", rather than "Current" or "Pending". Does that mean that this problem no longer exists? Should I clear the code or leave it? I purchased the vehicle from a Toyota dealership so I don't mind bringing it back in, however since no check engine lights came on I'm not sure what I would say to ask them to look at codes.
I would just clear the codes and as long as it does not come back then I would not be concerned about it. If it does come back then take it to the dealer.
Whenever your Prius throws a DTC, it's stored inside the Prius indefinitely, until you clear it with Techstream. When you clear the codes, Techstream saves these to your PC as a History file. You're seeing a code your Prius once had, but it no longer has it. So there is no problem. All you know is that once the car threw this DTC, and that you cleared the code and it hasn't come back. And that means nothing is wrong. The DTC could have been thrown for any reason, like maybe a cable was disconnected during maintenance and subsequently reconnected. If the error appears again later, then maybe there's a problem, but it isn't there now.
Good morning everyone, I have found on the prius 3 p0303 code, I did replace spark plugs and coil of the third cylinder, but the problem is not solved, they checked the compression cylinder which is perfect, tell me that to replace injector, there already happened such a problem?
That error is most likely a fuel injector. They are expensive. If it was my car, I would look for a used one from a wreck. There is a thread here on PriusChat which covers this pretty well: Misfire detected- P0300 p0303 set | Page 2 | PriusChat
