I have a new Prius Four. I am confused about the functions of the automatic headlight system. With the headlight switch in AUTO is there any indication on the display that the headlights have turned themselves on? I found that if the headlight switch is not in AUTO and the headlights are turned on with the switch that there is an indicator on the display showing that the lights are on. I have not driven the car at night yet, but will the headlight indicator tell me when the lights have come on automatically? I also have a 2012 Prius Two and it appears that the driving light is much more noticeable on that car than the 2016 model.
Yes there is. The same icon that lights up when you turn lights on manually will turn on automatically.
I think aurelio's post above is wrong. He posted the icon of the headlight control stalk. That icon is what you need to turn it to to turn on the headlights. Mine is a yellow light bulb near the Parking Brake light and the speedometer. The light turns on when the AUTO lights turn on and the manual lights.
One of you is in Mexico, do not discount the theory that you are all right for the location you live in.
