Anyone knows how to turn OFF the passenger A/C disable feature? I apologize but I forgot the exact term that Toyota calls it but there is a button that is when pressed (on), it turns off the passenger size A/C vents. Also, there is a setting in the main console that allow for all vents (which is the same as the button). Anyways, I turn it OFF (allows for all vents to be active) both using the button method or via the console mode. Anyways, as soon as I turn the car off and back on, the damn button is automatically enabled (disable the passenger side a/c vent) again...
There is a button that turn the under seat rear AC vents off. But the other vents, I thought, were manual. BTW, does it take a few drives for the AC to work cold. Off the delivery truck it was a little wimpy.
It looks to see if the rear doors were opened. If they were then it figures you have passengers otherwise it shuts it off! The button that shows people on it (top right) will turn if off if the doors had been opened but I know of no override!
My disable rear vents seems to stay on but will try the door trick today. Doors do not do it. Might try a passenger in the rear seat next.
I think when you turn the vents off, you then have to put the climate in AUTO mode, then it will remember the last settings when you turn the car off.
