Does anyone else have this problem. My 2013 Red Prius C started to chip on the door edges around 6 months after purchase. My guess is it has something to do with the extremely thin/light metal used to make the car and the quality of the paint. I've owned the car for 2 1/2 years now and the problem is only getting worse. The dealership says I'm the only person to ever have this issue and blamed me. Please let me know, there is no way my car is the only one.
Owned my C less than a year and i always park in tiny garage where my door hits the soft cardboard in the garage, no chipping problem but! Ask your dealership for complimentary touch up paint, just a small bottle. I got small free touch up paint exact match for my car from my Dealership
For $62-75 usd! It's cheaper than getting it completely repainted yes, but why does plastic strips have to cost so much?
Mine chipped a bit. Touch up paint is cheap at the dealership and lasts forever. Well worth the purchase. Even if you do get door guards, you will want the touch up paint to prevent rust formation.
