It just beeps and flashes the blind spot mirror indicator light on the door mirror to the side the traffic is coming from.
Some folks are getting breaking action during some functions. Not sure if it is back, front, or both. Jimmy Hendrix song "cross town traffic"
The car will brake if you're slowly going forward into an object, not sure about reversing, but not on cross traffic alert.
It just beeps and shows you on the little screen that there's a car coming up from behind. It works really well
It's front, getting very close to something without cruise control will actuate it, or with cruise control getting close to whatever is in front, when something in front turns off to the right it seems to get close then suddenly engage the brakes, makes you think it's watching the action but then it panics and "whoa nelly", small quirks, small learning curve.
