The white does look better - and easier to keep clean. That is why I never installed the black set I bought.
Dragon rider, I don't think you will like the white. Most people I talk to have not liked it. You should go to your Toyota dealer and sit in a Prius with the white. Look at it carefully. Do you think you can live with it? Day after day it will get dirty too. That's one reason I didn't want the white tray.
True that the white will not show dust as easily. But I was thinking about coffee spills, soda and dirty fingerprints. I sat in a 2016 with Moonstone and white tray at one dealership. It made a bad impression on me because the white tray, white dash parts and white seat were already stained with fingerprints and coffee. Granted, maybe most people aren't that messy. (That must have been some really grungy test drivers and salespeople using that car!)

I agree about the white seats and white dash. I would have to be very careful with that. But they are SofTex, so maybe easier to clean? Doesn't matter, I would have to cover them up with colorful beach towels. I have no problems with the white tray and cup holders. Any spills wipe right up, and no stains. (2 or 3 coats of Meguiar's liquid wax helps, too.) I enjoy the "white china" because it's unique and different... and I like different. The entire Gen4 car is different... so the white console fits right in with all the other weird stuff! Plus, I've had too many black interiors in other cars. I needed a nice change, something new and fresh. The Old Man Harvest Beige did the trick!
A splash of color! A feast for the eyes! Definitely wakes me UP!! The white is Ok, but for those times when I'm drinking a large chocolate shake, I might put a small colorful towel over the white cup holder console.... Never can be too careful.
I wondered how I'd like the WHITE. But in the 5 weeks I've had the car, everyone who has looked has said how fresh it looks. And it's still clean. - unlike the BLACK, which I've had to dust at least weekly. Maybe I should get DARK glasses so I don't see the dust. Oh - and the audio system - covered in fingerprints, which don't dust off.
Rock hard is right! And thin. I'm always resting my arm there. No, it's not a memory foam pillow, but you just gave me a good idea. (it's just a folded up beige-colored hand towel... for now.)
