After connecting my IPhone to the car I installed the Entune app on the Iphone. Now when the phone connects with the car the Entunes app on the phone opens. Then, opening Siri from the car she says your in the car and it's not available. Occasionally the contacts don't show up on the car screen. The app seams to cause these issues. If I shut it down things work better. The app looks like a collection of links to music sites. I have most of them on my phone on my phone. Can anyone comment on the features of the Entune app, and why it's interfering with the car / phone connection. This is an issue with my new 2016 Gen 4 model 3 with ATP
I had the same problem with my new car when i startup the car it wants to launch the entune app every time. I fixed it by deleting the entune app.
etune app is needed for weather and be sure you set both in the settings for data sources. Also clear out all BT connections in you 5S, disconnect on the head unit and do a clean connect. Mine works fine now. Was driving in a big storm and tried to pull weather up o the map and it said HD not available. Opened up etune app and the map appeared in full color with all the storms.
That's interesting. I have the Entune app on my iPhone 5s but never have it open and I get weather just fine. Glad to hear you got the iPhone 5s and head unit to connect correctly. I know you were having issues awhile back.
If HD goes down you will need the app open maybe / sometimes/ who would ever know for sure. It is better but I still do not get messages through the Prius head unit display. SIRI or whatever it is called is perfect. The HD not available only happens in bad storms and when you really need it.
