Every once in a long while, my wife and I go 'round the car, seeing if all the lights are working. As often as not, they're not, lol. First time around one the license plate lights was out. This time it was what's referred to in Owner's Manual as "front side marker light" (amber light at top corner of head light assembly), drivers side burnt out. Good time of year to look them over (in Northern Hemisphere). Replacement bulbs readily available through dealership.
Yeah compare sides, see what's lit on one side, verify other side is also lit. Sometimes both sides are out tho. They should do it at inspection, but you never know.
both headlites, check. both taillites, check. left and right turn signal front and back, check. both brake lites, check. license plate lites, check. anything else?
There's those "marker lights", at top outer corners of headlight sculptures. I'm guessing if nothing's standing out, looking dark, and both sides looking the same, you're all good. Approved!
Hopefully her viewing is from a distance unless the insurance amount is high and you want to check her vision.
Toyota part number for "front side marker light", also for license plate light: 00234-00192 $2.40 Can, at our dealership.
