No pictures of Sam's Prius yet, but some more information: My Generation 1 (2001 - 2003) My Prius is a 2003. The fuel economy varies based on many factors. (Distance, Seasonal and Engine Temperature; Load; Tire and Tire Pressure; How much pressure I'm putting on the accelerator - driving habits can all affect the fuel economy). For example: (I drive very short distance (1.1 miles to work) (Yes, I sometimes bike and walk to work.) This short commuting distance barely has the gasoline engine to an operating temperature. The best fuel economy is when I'm driving consistently at 45 to 55 miles per hour to my church and favorite Organic grocery store called Mom's. This is about 20 - 25 miles and about a 35 minute drive twice or three times a week. Although I don't have official record keeping. Combining all the city and suburban and interstate driving (during the winter cooler colder months around 35 - 40 miles per gallon.) And warmer temperatures (40 to 50 miles per gallon). Our 2003 had 172,000 miles and our house keeper needed reliable transportation. More importantly, the price of a 2016 Level 3 Prius with TSS-P bracketed the cost of the used, end-of-lease, 6440 mile, warranty to January 2019, BMW i3-REx. That was an easy decision. Never feel bad about a Prius, 172k miles Gen-1 and 72k miles Gen-3. They are a fine cars and we're keeping our Gen-3 for another year. Bob Wilson
It was a narrow window, about six months. Actually, I would have gone with a Level 2 ECO with TSS-P. But it turns out our BMW i3-REx fully meets our requirements and the price was a happy accident. <GRINS> Bob Wilson
