I've been using a Qi charger case with my iPhone 6sPlus and the Qi charging pad. Now that we have this intrusive legislation in California that says phones have to be securely mounted, I wonder if you Californians will be complying or just leaving the phone in the Qi charging station provided. I'm inclined to just leave it in the Qi corral, but if pressed might be happy with a mount on the side window. I've had vent mounts in the past like the ProClip, but didn't like how they affected the AC in the summertime.
+1 on the iOttie being the best holder. I've had mine 2 years now installed on the dash, and never had a problem of it coming off. One warning tho on the extendable arm...don't loosen the nut too much or it may fall off.
Put it on the side window, it even coped with my iPhone 7 plus with thick case. Worse for me than the CD mount in a way as at least with the CD mount I can use left hand to touch screen but this requires right hand. I think I'll use both depending upon my drive. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
I have driven RHD ion the right side of the road. Why couldn't you drive LHD on the left? When I drove the small truck with the driver door slid open, it was different seeing the curb right next to the door.
We have relatives in Harrogate who have one of each. They tell me the windshield wipers get lots of use. LOL!
Wow. That was a long time ago when driver's had sliding doors. I think they're band now for private vehicles. But yes, I've driven rhd in Germany and Holland and LHD over here as well. I still get to drive on the wrong side of the road from time to time, usually in error.
This was in the early 1980s and was a delivery van. I believe the UPS parcel delivery trucks here still have sliding doors.
You would need to replace all those nice instruction stickers. Does your Dad enjoy driving the Prius?
Hmmm the side window mount came off the window slightly whilst cornering (not on a racetrack) Then once I restuck it on the window, then the actual phone mount started dropping, I think it's the weight of the phone and the case. However, later tonight, once all tightened up, seemed to be steady-ish and didn't fall but the phone does move up and down due to vibrations when driving. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
No. He misses his 3.2 V6 gas guzzler as it used to kick arse at the lights and he liked hearing the engine noise. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Tell him to press the accelerator harder. The Prius is very quick if you ask it to be. According to one site, 0-60 mph in 9.6 seconds, quarter mile in 17.2 seconds.
Did you clean the little window before you mounted it? I've had mine on for over a month now and not once has it fallen off. My phone (s7 edge) is also heavy. Are you certain you pushed the tab for the suction all the way down?
Having the glass clean is important. Keep in mind that with all newer cars, the interior plastic trims always release oily fumes that end up as residue/film on the windows, and it's possible that the same oily film might be the reason the suction didn't adhere very well. I hope it works out for you after you clean the window. I recommend invisible glass, not sure if it's available in your location.
