When I was a kid my friend and I, and I'm gonna call him the instigator, lol, laid a wire between the two posts of a car battery, watched it emulate a lightbulb for a moment, before it burnt right through. Sometimes I wonder: how we survived. Oh yeah, eventually, you don't. Oh well.
Don't I know it. I daren't report my juvenile attempts at self annihilation. Just seemed like such a great idea at the time, but, for all of us who survived I wonder how many didn't??????
been there, done that. some never do those things, some end up dead, maimed or in jail. no idea why. i suppose some here will call it 'natural selection'.
Very true. We climbed down to a river one time, and I lost traction on a washout, almost went over a cliff, ended up with my legs over, and my fingers gripping roots and dirt. Just thank my lucky stars. Yeah don't get me started about my "lost decade".
I have a spare smart plug so I think i'm going to leave the battery connected with a small charger connected to the smart plug and activate the charger for a half hour once a week. There really ought to be a switch for this - it's a silly problem.
with the bigger battery, i'd just check the voltage, shut off the sks, and check the voltage when i got home.
