Prius wearing a Dazer conversion by Car-Style. The Crossover Toyota Prius-X You Never Knew You Wanted
'bout as cool as a Ferrari with a 4cyl focus engine for "better fuel economy"... This conversion seems to have been done merely because it was possible, not because it actually added any benefit to the car.
Keep in mind that there's a sizable Prius mod scene in Japan. And, at least one of the cars was an E-Four, although I'm pretty sure this isn't what Toyota was thinking of when they released the E-Four option for the Prius...
The 50mm suspension lift might be useful to some people concerned about the Prius clearance. Perhaps @bwilson4web could adapt this to his new Prime. He already almost met a parking lot curb with his new baby.
I would have considered an E-Four depending on it's mpg number if it would have been offered in the USA. Would have been nice to have AWD for the New England winters... I don't think the weight penalty was that big either, so I don't know why it wasn't offered as an option in the US. It does affect fuel economy, so maybe that was the reason.
For the Paris-Dakar rally you would have to build a race vehicle and call it a CH-R. Oh, and it doesn't go from Paris to Dakar anymore because the cars and drivers aren't bullet proof.
Gross, just gross. What's with attaching gigantic exhaust outlets these days? It started with the monster trucks, then all the other trucks, now a Prius wants to try it. Sad, stupid, a cromagnon step backwards. My opinion.
Many decades... at least since the 80s with the rise of AE86s and S13s (among other Japanese RWD sports cars). I guess beforehand, kids would just cut the muffler or do a short pipe mod. (often times louder than aftermarket exhausts)
