Hi i recently purchase Toyota Prius 2016 GCC spec in UAE , DUBAI that have Multimedia Navigation that i want to update it i check on update setting Model ID is 13TDANME-DA03 and Audio is 01014E is anyone know how i can update it? on internet i see a picture on Menu they have Multilink Icon but on my car i do not have it and also want to know can i have more feature if i update it?\ regards
My 2016 Prius in California has a navigation receiver assembly (also called the “Entune Audio head unit” in the U.S. market) with different Model ID, 13TDANNA-DA11; I assume “NA” and “ME” indicate versions for North America and Middle East. The basic procedure for updates could be similar, however: connect a USB flash drive with the updated software to the vehicle’s USB port, go to Setup > General > Software Update > Update, and then select Update Software. For U.S. vehicles, there is a Toyota Service Bulletin, T-SB-0103-16, which lists the software versions and bug fixes, but I wouldn’t expect that software to work with your system, since the hardware is probably different, with a tuner for DAB rather than the IBOC (“HD Radio”) and XM satellite radio available here. I’m afraid I don’t know where, other than a dealer, you could find updated software for the ME version or information about what fixes or features might be included in the update. If you’re looking for MirrorLink, though, have you tried connecting your device to the USB port first? One manual I found for the European navigation system implies that the application only appears after a compatible device is connected.
Here is the Service Bulletin I mentioned: T-SB-0103-16, “Entune Audio Head Unit Software Update (Panasonic),” August 10, 2016. There is a newer revision of this document on techinfo.toyota.com (subscription only), but this copy on NHTSA’s site will give you a basic idea of the procedure.
Thanks so much for good information . I have samsung galaxy s7 edge and when i connect with usb cable nothing is show on car dvd unit . Should i do something on phone for multilink icon apears on car dvd? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The USB connection is for use to link a music source etcetera into the head unit, but it will not recognise the phone as a phone. To do that, you will have to pair the Bluetooth link between the car and your S7 Edge. Hope that helps you a little more. If you have any music stored on the phone, the car should be able to access it.
Hi. Yes i already do that .and on source i choice bluetooth audio and it play my phone music. I look for a method to screen mirror my phone to car dvd so can have navigation on my car. Becuase there is no DVD MAP for GCC Regards Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Hi to you also. Sorry to say there is no simple way to do that and has been much discussion about the problem in another thread. There is an American company that sells a modification kit to do that kind of thing. I'll have a look around and see what I can dig out for you, but I'm not sure it will be available outside USA. Hang on anyway, somebody will chip in with something in time. Time zones affect who's on and when.
Sorry Mehdi, but I couldn't find the thread I was looking for. However the two links below may be of some use till the answer you're looking for comes up. If I find it later I'll come back to you, but don't build your hopes up too high, if you know what I mean. How to use 'Off Line" Navigation | PriusChat

Thanks Sooner AI. That's exactly what I was hoping to get for OP. Only wish the manufacturer had a base in UK.
