Looking to buy one of 2 used Prius' I found where I live in Maui. The problem with them both is the HV batteries won hold a charge. I am going to buy one of them and replace the hv battery ether with replacement gen2 mods or if it is possible upgrade them to the new gen4 packs. Any thoughts on this adventure? One of the hybrid experts here said the Gen 4 modules can be used in the Gen 3 pack. They may also work in the Gen 2 pack. I assume the Gen 4 pack would not work as a unit. You would need to find a Gen 4 NiMH pack from a US Trim Two, though. The Lithium Ion ones from the other US trims would not work.
