For those here in California who get their residential electricity from PG&E, PG&E is offering their customers with EVs a $500 Clean Fuel Rebate. This appears to include plug-in hybrids like the Prime and Plug-in Prius. Free money, not bad: Clean Fuel Rebate for electric vehicles I called PG&E (1-877-704-8723) and spoke to someone with their Clean Fuel Rebate program. They say there is no limit per household and all plug-in EVs each qualify for $500. That's $1000 I wasn't expecting between our Plug-in Prius and Leaf.
Sadly no state incentives out here in Texas, that I know of at least. I just home Trump doesn't clobber the $4500 Federal incentive before my P.Prime arrives... City of Austin has some great incentives though, like as rebate fro half the cost of installing a level-2 charger, and even better, $50/year for unlimited charging at the ChargePoint stations around town.
Finally received my approval email. Sent it in on 1/20. The next step is convincing my dad, it's my rebate and not free money from the electric company.
