i apologize, there are no sticky specs on the prime. not sure why. i must have been thinking about the lift back.
That's about what im guessing too but i need to know exact before running electric to my detached garage.
Thanks for your help Prius from dad. My garage opening is 90 so a bit of a tight fit and was hoping to have a little more room.
I want to keep mine on the right side of garage so I can open the driver door all the way once I'm in. I've put tape on the floor and use the middle line on the back up cam. Works great.
i've gotten pretty good at keeping the right mirror an inch or two from the jamb. i also like the room on the left.
maybe get out and fold the mirrors until you're comfortable. you wouldn't be the first person to knock the mirror off.
I work with tolerances of .0005" and better, so accuracy is my thing. I just measured my straightness in the garage and I'm 1/16" off with the tape. Damn, I need to work on that. LOL
I have a tennis ball hanging from the ceiling. I aim my nose right at it and drive until it just touches the windshield. I can usually get within a half-inch or so laterally, and a quarter-inch length-wise. I estimate I've done this about 5,000 times in my current garage. The position brings the right mirror within two inches of the garage door jam, and I've never hit it.
I planned on doing that so i know i was far enough in the garage but hadnt thought of using it in that way. Thanks
