Hi. I had a Gen 3 and camped one time, and I miss the -- nearly -- flat floor with seats folded forward. However, with my Gen 4 Eco, due to lithium battery placement, there is a big 3-4 inch drop from middle row to cargo floor. Hence, does anybody have recommendations on what to use to level the floor and make It less abrupt for bedding? Pics would be great. Thanks
I've seen some threads about this eg: anyone camp in their prius gen 4? | PriusChat Setting Up a Prius For Car Camping Video | PriusChat @JimmyPri has also posted some videos about camping But I'm not sure if they had flat or dropped floor.
There is also this recent thread concerning camping in a Prius... Camping in 2016 Prius | PriusChat We like camping at Holiday Inn Express or Best Westerns...
It's actually not the battery placement that causes the unlevel floor, but rather the lack of spare tire. Note that dense foam is what's used to level the floor in a Two, Three, or Three Touring.
@JimmyPri might be able to help you because he makes camping car videos with his Prius. I might cut up a cushy yoga mat and overlap them to raise the floor
