I think it's a law of physics that if a Brit and a Yankee get on the same roundabout they annihilate each other.
Don't you know it's considered rude to an Ozzie to mention NZ in the same sentence as. Australia! ... And just like the Brits, all drive on the right, erm - correct side of the road. (Tongue in cheek!)
According to Wikipedia, about two-thirds of the world's population (163 countries and territories) drive on the right side of the road, 76 countries and territories drive on the left side. Edit - Apologies to ETC(SS) I didn't notice that you already posted this picture.
Driving on the left was interesting during the 2 weeks I was in Yorkshire a couple years ago. I only got scared once. It was when it dawned on me that it was starting to feel natural, and if it felt natural, I must be going the wrong way. It was about one second of terror before I realized I was OK and comfortable at the same time. LOL! BTW, what the heck were we talking about? Oh yeah, Toyota's stealth advertising for the Prius. Interestingly, I sometimes get ads in the mail from the local Toyota shop. They always show one car in the illustration -- a red Prime. But they don't have any Primes on the lot. I know, it's a corporate thing, but it's also pretty ironic.
They cannot be held accountable. They were corrupted by our friends in the UK. That's OK. Yours is easier to see and you tallied up the countries for us....
The game is called rugby. Football is that quaint game followed enthusiastically by Englishmen, but usually played by European or South American players.
Oh heck, now there's three. And American vs Canadian "football" have some minor variations. US has 4 downs, vs Canadian 3, which promotes more passing in the Canadian game? And our field is (ahem) larger: has centre line at 55 yards, vs US 50. Canadian football's larger too, harumph.
Don't forget arena football!!! Much smaller field. Tons of scoring. Quite unlike what most of the world calls "football," which is a bunch of guys kicking a ball around for an hour and ending up nil - nil.
for me - if the ball isn't round, I don't watch. I played SOCCER as a teenager and loved it. As for too many nil-nil scores - simple answer, increase the goal dimensions. (pity it won't happen - they'd rather the sport die than change).
