Hey, im wondering if any of u guys can help me here, i was messing around under the cover where the mirror adjustment and front light washers is and all that (for my aftermarket parking sensor button and front camera button will be there), but in there i found a wire tucked in with a connector. Like a button connector, so im wondering if any of u guys can help me find out what it is for? Im wondering if it is a connector for manual headlight adjustment, ive seen that in some priuses, but mine doesnt have it, can that be it?, should i just buy a random switch for that connector and try and turn it on and off and see what it does?, LOL

it must be for an option you don't have, is there a package higher than 5? we don't get front light washers, so it's probably a euro spec option.

Lol, ejector seat would be great, to bad I don't have a sunroof, nah, I got the full package that's here called "premium" (which is 5 in USA), only thing I don't have is sun roof, only option I don't have, but this doesn't look like anything that got with the sunroof to do... So I'm really wondering what it is, I don't even know if I can just use a random switch to to run it on and see what it is, I think I will try that and see what happens. I'm wondering into just try and connect it to a button I have a see what happens, I know some priuses (in Usa I guess that would be number two, in Norway it's called base or advance) got manual headlight adjustment with three stages on a button, cause they got non self adjusting halogen lights and not self adjusting LED which I got... In another hand it would be weird if it was a manual headlight adjustment thingy... The halogen lights and LED lights r completely different look wise..

my moms Prius got the same connector not hooked into anything, she got a executive, the version under premium (they got the same equipment tho, just some small differences in looks, like the door got different decor and stuff), anyone got any idea what it can be?

we need a euro member to chime in here. one thing i know, toyota uses the same wiring harness for all the different packages. so if you're missing an option(s), the wires are still in there.

That might be true in Massachusetts, but in Indiana it's a different story ... that's why, for example, one has to pull apart the dash to add the auto headlight functionality, or replace the bumper harness with the one containing foglight wiring, to add foglights....

Wait, u mean "auto headlight" like so it turns on at night automatic or "automatic adjustment headlights"? In Norway we don't got like air of turn on and off headlights at day and night cause u have to use lights at day to. Normal headlights or parking lights and fog lights at day time, in the nighttime fog lights have to be turned off and normal headlights has to be on

North American Gen 3 has a body ECU that is capable of turning the lights on and off based on how much light hits the solar sensor on the dash (which is already there, because the A/C also uses it). In trims without the feature, they just left out the wire between the sensor and the ECU (and also, of course, used the headlight switch without an 'auto' position, and that wire's missing too).

It's a cool feature, because in those half-light morning and evening periods, it will turn the headlights on, but not dim the instruments.

ohhh, so stupid i cant do that.. i got a different setup and different lights and shit... would be fun to have a automatic control that turned on and off the headlights on the European version, but that also turned off the fog lights when it turned on the headlights and when the headlights turn off it turns on the foglights, like on day i use parklights and foglights, and on night i use just headlights cause in Norway headlights and fog lights r illegal to use together if u r driving faster then 20Kph.
