My prius gen 2 shut down while driving

    My prius 2007 milege 120000km suddenly shut down while driving and all the dashboard warning lights appears and wont be able to drive and reverse guys kindly update me what should i do i am very upset i am on highway? 1497522487274.jpg

    Make sure you did not run out of gas then try a 12v jump.

    I unplug 12v battery for 20 minutes and again replug battery but result is still same.... 1497528133540.jpg

    How old is the 12V battery? As rjparker pointed out, try a jump from a known good 12V battery.

    You will get all sorts of lights when you run out of gas which can happen unexpectedly in a 2007 model because of the tank design. Most other problems will require a tow to a dealer or a hybrid specialist to diagnose with a scanner equipped for the hybrid system. The 12v jump is a possible and generally easy solution but is less likely since it died while running.

    Here is a page on how to jump start a 12v Prius system. Be careful - a wrong connection can cause expensive repairs.

    When i buy this prius it is almost 100000km drive and now reading is 125000 i dont know how old is

    Now i again unplugged the 12v battery and then plugged in and now its working good.
    Now i want to ask you why it happened and will it happen again ?
