I'm new to the prius seen but my new mother in law has a 2002 prius that is turning off at random and when it is running the exhaust seems to be making a jet engine sort of noise
Hello, and welcome to Prius Chat. I'm assuming you realise that the Prius engine only runs when it is necessary for extra propulsion power or to charge the hybrid battery. If the car doesn't need the engine to run, it will move along using an electric motor, which may be the sound you have heard. Please excuse me if you already knew all that and there is something else wrong, in which case could you give more details? Thanks.
