I have a UK RHD model and will be traveling to France soon. I can't find any info in the Toyota manual about whether our clever AHS headlights can be set to be ok for driving on the right in France. Or do I need done old fashioned tape or light converters? Surely not! Can any International owners help with this? (Please note U.S. owners that the European AHS system is NOT fitted to the U.S. Prime so please only reply if you have knowledge of the 2017 European Prius PHV). Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
WimN reports driving a LHD European 2017 Prius PHV in Scotland at night without any apparent problems caused to other drivers, and that the dealership advised that this would be the case. I have been similarly advised by Toyota Uk, but my request to them to be told where to find documentation confirming this has so far not been responded to by them. I thought that all LED light systems were symmetrical and therefore flat left to right rather than kicking up on the pavement side. If this is the case then there is no need to convert to LHD. I will need to know the answer to this before I go France next year!! iPhone ?
That fits with what my car seems to do. Also Toyota GB have confirmed to me that no adjustment is necessary. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
