HISSING NOISE

    Hello, im new here. I have a 07 prius, and just noticed a hissing noise when i turned off my car. I got out and noticed it. When getting closer i heard it more towards the passenger side in the front. What could it be? Any clues? PLEASE HELP!

    Couldnt be because it stopped after 3 or 5 minutes

    Escaped snake? :eek: (…but seriously, though) what you are hearing might be the coolant being transferred to the thermos flask (just in front of the front wheel, driver's side) to save time warming up the ICE next time you use the car!

    Could it be a leak in the ABS accumulator tank? But then, I'd expect that you would be hiring the pump running more often trying to keep the vacuum charged.

    Ive had HIM for a yr and a half now. I habent heard the hissing noise again since then. ^_^,

    maybe he was just letting off a little steam. i won't buy a male car, too temperamental.
