my father's group made it up to orlando. 5 in a room, air mattress, no soap, towels, toilet paper. he's trying to find out who has his meds.

LOL!! Nope. I HATE long lines. I filled up on Monday and have about 467 miles of estimated cruising range in the PiP with EV almost depleted. The '07 is almost full, too. I'm guessing we will lose electricity for an extended time, so I will break my personal rule and charge the PiP battery before the storm gets here.

Golly!! What an adventure! (I think it was Roald Amundson who said that adventure is just bad planning.)

 

With the power outage coming and all the generators are sold out, a prius with a power inverter should fetch high dollar

Thanks. It sure has. Looks like a direct hit with the latest news. We are all boarded up and working on the sand bags. Headed to a friends place tomorrow morning to ride it out in a newer house. We're not in an evac zone, but we're close an our house was built in '73, so might not be as dependable as their almost new house.

 

It just started its turn about 5 minutes ago. Very early AM for you might not be very nice on timing.

 

Tomorrow night is going to be LOUD. We are in Pasco County, north of Tampa, btw.

 

Yeah, don't forget to hold onto something if you have to use the restroom. You might get sucked in. Nothing like watching the water get sucked out of the pipes.

 

On topic, our gas price for E10 has gone down to $2.02.

 

Nice. Ours is still $2.69-2.79, when you can get it. Stations will close soon, if they haven't already. Most everything is closed now.

 

You might consider recording the audio on a smart phone. Video will probably be a little too risky ... it is an air pressure door thing.

I suspect @jerrymildred may be dealing with power and network access. Tampa Bay was not supposed to be hit like it was.

The best part was after dark, but my camera wasn't sensitive enough to capture it, even though the street lights were still working. But I did get some video while it was still just light enough.
