I notice that my low beam headlight is getting fainter by time . I want to change them with stronger lamps. I have seen many kinds of led lamps but prefer the traditional yellow light lamps. What is your advice for the best lamp ? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
H9 65w Philips bulbs. Simple modifications to the bulb allow them to replace the 55w standard H11 bulbs. You'll get a 50% increase in light output. I believe they do worldwide shipping. I have bought bulbs from them before for my 2005 Prius. (2 different sets) TOYOTA PRIUS (2009 - 2015) Car Headlight Bulbs | PowerBulbs
I notice most of the bulbs shown on that page are "styling" bulbs with extra blue tint or claims of extra high output (but almost all with the "Lumens" line in the specifications left blank, hmm). Honestly, the one that really drew my attention was the Philips longlife ecovision, which actually does list lumen output (1350, respectable), and supposedly an increased lifespan (though its specs do not state an hour figure). That seems like it might be a good one to know about, especially for people who have the low-beam longevity complaints addressed in that 2010/11 Prius service bulletin. -Chap
