35,109 Prius Prime (or Prius PHV) sold world wide. During the same time period Toyota sold 35,162 plug-in cars. So, what are the 53 plug-in cars Toyota sold that is not Prius Prime (or Prius PHV)?

These are global figures. Toyota offers the Prius PHEV in more markets than Chevy does the Volt. I think the Bolt will be available in Europe as the Ampera-E, where the Volt was dropped from with the gen2. Left over iQ EVs? Toyota has a little, low speed EV, like a Gem or Xebra, that they might actually offer for sale.
Build Your Dreams. BYD is a Chinese manufacturer (along with Geely, Chery and other smaller brands). BYD is one of the larger ones and I believe it's the one backed by Malcom Bricklin (the US billionaire) so we might see those cars here soon (once it's marketable and up to US specifications)
