I do quite like Swype: it generally lets me type fairly quickly and with moderate accuracy. But the Huawei version of it does occasionally seem to struggle. It does have Australian words in its dictionary - both "Servo" (gas station) and "bogroll" (toilet paper) should be in there.

And yet, earlier this week, I had this WhatsApp conversation with my wife.

I mean, obviously there are times when I stop at a sexy and get bread and Bjork. But not that day.

Me too, I abandoned swype and reverted to Google keyboard again if only because it knows more of my regular usage words. But some of my auto-corrections have become the stuff of legends, thanks to @Prodigyplace and @kithmo ... Not quite WML (*** myself laughing) yet, but you never know!

Add words to your personal dictionary... Gboard frustrates me for different reasons, mainly lack of integrated support for Japanese IME.

My obviously obscure clue was the number of missing letters....
.. but really it began with a W and ended in et.

Yes, I have similar issues: the Google one doesn't have integrated support for Chinese IME either. The standard Huawei keyboard (which has Swype integrated into it) is great for Chinese, so I tend to stick with that.

I installed Swype on my Mate 9. It came with the adware version of SmartKey.

Tried the Hwawei keyboard but it struggled with my prose and I lost heart, so gave up on it too quickly maybe. Apart from serenading pilotgrrl, haven't had much use for the Japanese.
