I own a 2013 Ford fiesta with The worthless Auto Transmission. I Like good gas mileage. But The Car With Less Then 60.000 Miles Is Worth Less Then 3500 Dollars, Due To The trans And Lawsuits. Had A Camry once liked it, no problems so I'm coming back to Toyota. I like getting good mpg so I will be lurking here till the Fiesta is dead or dying. The Prius Looks like A real good Replacement. Had A Geo Metro Once, It 50 Mpg Most Of The Time just wore out to fast. Like what I see here thanks to all in advance.
Welcome. One thing non-Prius owners don't realize is the lack of maintenance required on a Prius outside of oil changes and tire rotation. With normal driving, there's darn little to do for the first 100,000 miles. They're built/engineered to last. Happy lurking.
@Mark57 the is absolutely no Toyota service requirement to change the t_yre_s around in UK. Perhaps it's just another ploy across the pond. A survey by the British Automobile Association revealed that there is no significant cost saving over ten years by doing so!
You mean you have to replace the rubber after uneven wear? That's what the AA found over ten years and it made hardly any difference. IMHO, if you're wearing the outside edges at the front you're cornering too fast, or the pressure is too low, or the tracking is out.
