Hey, im planning on making my own version of the mod that activates the rear camera when u indicate. I got like.. the activating wire for the rear camera (ill leave a diagram that hopefully explains it below). I know the actiavtion harness thingy for the rear camera works, i have used it with a button to activate the rear camera when not in reverse before. But yea, now that im gonna use it to activate the rear camera while indicating i need to know where the positive wire on the blinker stalk is. And how many volts that even go thru the indicating stalk. Do anyone here got information about this?, or is it a easier way i can connect the acivation wire to make the rear camera go on when indicating?
Have you looked at Toyota’s Electrical Wiring Diagram (EM12A6E or EM12A4NO), available by subscription to toyota-tech.eu? The Turn Signal and Hazard Warning Light pages in the System Circuit section show how the Headlight Dimmer Switch Assembly (the stalk) is connected between the Turn Signal Flasher Assembly and body ground.
lol yea, that was what i tried to avoid lol, not to have to buy a subscription for just an hour and stuff, i have changed the flasher to the smart tap flaster tho. So i know where that is, guess imma have to check the diagram? like... the flasher is what makes the blinkers flash right? (dumb quiestion lol). which means that the flasher get DC current and i like... delivers the current to the bulbs in pulses?. which means that if i find the positive wire on the flasher to where it gets the DC i can hook the positive on the rear camera activator on there?.
