Solar charger for Prius 5

    My Prius is parked for several months, and the battery is always down to dead. There are no 120 volt power plugs located anywhere near it, so my only option is solar trickle charger. However, I was told just hooking a panel up would need to be disconnected once the battery is charged.
    What do I need and where do I get it?

    A couple things to be aware of:
    (1) if you turn off the Smart Key (SKS) System (button under steering column in Gen2) the 12v will last longer
    (2) Once you drain the 12v a couple times that is usually not good for it

    There are plenty of solar chargers that maintain after reaching full; just check the specs; very popular in the boating and RV worlds.

    Also, letting the hybrid battery sit unused for long periods is NOT good for long term health. BTDT
