    Hello everyone,

    New to the forum. I'm looking to get my first Prius ever and would love some advice/suggestions. I'm from Oklahoma City but willing to drive to Dallas, Amarillo, Kansas City, Omaha, etc. to find the right Prius. There's a couple Prius' in Dallas but there is a rebuilt engine 2006 Prius in Oklahoma City who's asking $2995 with 73,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. This forum won't let me link the craigslist page but you can easily find it. Opinions on rebuilt Prius' and what I need to ask/look for?

    Thanks for anyone willing to help!

    There's no way of you knowing if the engine has 73,000 miles. and you'll be driving a hell of a long way to find out it doesn't drive well

    Well, for the rebuilt engine, my concerns would be;

    1. Were OEM parts used for the rebuilt?
    If you don't know the answer to the questions, there might be a problem.
    You could find out from the seller. I hope he'd be willing to disclose such info to you though

    2. Was the installation procedures done correctly?

    PS: There must have being something fishy about the engine, before the rebuilt, and it would be nice the seller provide you with all maintenance/repair details/records, so you could make informed decisions.

    But if you're OK, with the costs, and would want to dabble into the unknown, sure, y not!
