I have a 2012 Prius Plug In Base. I’ve had it for a few months and about 3,500 miles: with about 68k miles total. Today it started beeping three times at what apprears to be random times. It seems to be coming from left of the driver’s seat, perhaps around the turn signal or on the far left side of the dash. No warning lights are on and it appears to be working properly. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to PC! Sounds to me like maybe the car has lost the signal from your SKS fob. If it's in the same pocket with your cell phone, the phone can interfere with the fob's signal. Or maybe the battery in the fob is getting weak.
If this is the case, shouldn't it say "Key not detected" on the MFD? I don't think there are any warning lights associated with this though.
