I had the Clear Bra put on my Prius a week after I bought it. Other than the fact it looks just like the paint you can't really see it except for where it ends half way up the hood. The whole front end is done part way back on the fenders and the mirrors. They did a really nice job putting it on. I had it done at the Toyota dealership I bought the car from and an outside company came there and installed it. We really haven't tested it out because we hardly drive the car. My old Prius was looking pretty rough when you waxed it up close, mostly small chips. It cost well over $700 to put it on. This is the link to the people who installed my Clear Bra. I use the Clear Bra name but don't know if it is actually a 3M product but everyone knows the name. Midwest Autobahnd
I took out the Toyota smart repair insurance, expensive at £300 for 3 years but worth it. You can use it as many times as you like, I've used it once, it costs £10 excess each time you use it. It saved me over £100 on the one occasion and it keeps the car in perfect condition. Even if I don't use it again before it expires, it's cheaper than a protective car bra and it covers the whole car for chips scratches and dents.
Nice job! I just checked out their site, and I think if I were in the market for a treatment, they would certainly be a strong candidate! ...but my 2009 Gen II already has a "mini-bralette" (...thank you previous owner!)
I had the clear bra put on our 2017 Lexus RX450h when we bought in July: Had to see unless you are up close. Happy we did the treatment as it should keep the front looking good .
I must admit, I thought exactly the same! (…although, perhaps more of a dark grey!) @Raytheeagle , you've created a MetalFlakePaint Envy Thread! Cor, that must be a first!
Thanks. The official color is “Caviar”. When I went to get a paint match stick, I had to give them the VIN and wait 4 weeks as they told me each car is slightly different . It has already come in handy once as the door was opened against my jack handle and 2 little chips resulted. But the paint stick did the trick.
When we bought it in July they pulled it around and the metal flake was sparkling in the afternoon sunlight. It was at that point that I looked at the wife and knew what had just happened and what the next steps were. Pair it with the noble brown leather interior and it’s hard to say no.
Wow a clear bra was already installed back when we purchased out 2010 used. I didn't think anything of it at the time but I guess it really was a nice perk...because I didn't realize they were that expensive to install!
