tesla might make it, they might not. no one knows. i refuse to try and make money off of other peoples misery. my investments are all moral, and ethical.
Tesla is making money. They are just spending it faster building the Gigafactory, Superchargers, and expanding the model line up. They are growing. The negative articles spin this as them losing money on each car sold though.
Yep, if they decided to never build the Model 3 or innovate, they would be back to profitable with just their S and X lines.
I think Tesla should now focus on ships and boats! That way the critics can claim that Tesla is a sinking ship!
And don't forget the Semi truck, unveiling this week. Elon doesn't burn the candle at both ends, he takes a flamethrower to it. I just hope he doesn't kill himself
And a crossover Model Y at similar price point to Model 3, a semi trailer truck, and a pickup truck, plus who knows what else.
He took the phrase "ludicrous mode" from Spaceballs, and has responded to folks on Twitter that upcoming vehicles (probably 2nd gen Roadster) will have a speed option echoing Spaceballs' fastest speed, "maximum plaid."
Whelp, it has been 90 days since Seeking Alpha posted this dire prediction - stock is up 15% in those 90 days, deliveries are over 5000 now, cars appearing all over the US, new orders are pouring in as people actually see the car in the flesh, and production is ramping up. It is not expected that Tesla will file for bankruptcy tomorrow or anytime soon. Tesla has some severe consequences all right, anyone placing an order today will probably not see their car for 18 months! Seeking Alpha is the very definition of false news and sowing FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) so that short sellers can scam the stock to make a buck.
musk has the same weird taste in movies, apparently, that many of us have. Another movie reference Musk recently refered to, in essence - that one of their products hasn't yet even revealed how much better it is, than how it appears. He said, "there's something you don't know - I'm not left handed ....." All us "The Princess Bride" geeks immediately recalled the sword fight scene & the dread pirate Robert, easily holding his own with Master Swordsman Inigo Montoya .... switched from left to right handed swort fighting. .
Interestingly El Bisco, others have said the same thing, but once they got the car they have been putting >1000 miles a month on it because it puts the joy back into driving. I've sat in the car and driven it a short distance. In the driver's seat you can't see the hood, just the fender bulges for the front wheels. you feel like the road is right there in front of you. It has a sport tuned suspension, you take corners faster than usual because there is no body lean and although it is the slowest car Tesla currently builds, press the go pedal and it slaps you back in your seat. It is like driving a go kart. You start thinking about taking it to the mountains and the most curvaceous road you can find. At the stoplight, you look over at the Bummer next to you and grin, trying to resist that childish impulse to smoke him. It is just WOW (current warts and all).
Not only that, but the movie Spinal Tap too with his "turn it to eleven" on the model 3 volume control. Then there was his recent reference to Dante's Inferno. Weird man! In my opinion, the worst public speaker ever but somehow very effective at getting his point across!
yep, these are the kind of turds that would have criticized President Roosevelt for footing huge projects like Hoover Dam & the golden gate bridge - because after all, the economy is in the dumps and according to the critics, the worst time ever to spend money. That's old GM logic, where the only thing that matters the most is next ΒΌ's profits - rather than something that will yield dividends for centuries . .
Over at the Leaf forum all the "shorts" have been especially riled up and silent in some cases. They are losing boatloads of money.
