I’ve occasionally noticed something optically odd when I look out the (inside) rear-view mirror, especially at night: It might be a little hard to see in the photo, but in the red circle, there’s a reflection of the headlights in front of me, just right on the top edge of the lower window. As I recall, it moves “the wrong direction,” relative to the source, that is, if the source moves toward the left, the reflection moves toward the right. That presumably means something back there is forming a concave mirror. I haven’t worked out what exactly yet though... I don’t recall seeing anything like that on our 2009. Curious... Like maybe that fancy curved hatch glass? If it's not just the curve of the windshield. Only Prii have that lower glass to create such magic lights.
I have tonneau cover on my deck all the time. Can't see the lower-rear-window. Let us know what you find out.
No, I understand what you’re saying, but odd that I don’t see that on our 2009 too. I’m not so much suggesting that it’s ... mysterious ... as much as wondering if others have noticed it too, and/or find it curious/amusing, or perhaps distracting. Typed by Mr88cet’s dancing thumbs
Also, why only the top edge of that glass? You’d think the curvature would be the same top-to-bottom... Typed by Mr88cet’s dancing thumbs
