Question for the community: What's the #1 question people ask about your Prius? If you have another EV, feel free to share that too.
3 folks @ work have the prime & 3 have PiP's. Most common questions revolve around how far on EV & how long to charge - followed by cost to charge. Same questions we get with our 2 plugins. .
That can be a complicated answer for someone completely unfamiliar with EV's - what do you usual tell them? Is yours yellow?
Hah, no! Prius cabs here seem to be predominantly (stock) pearl white, but when they're repainted yeah, yellow mostly.
I ask if they enjoy going to the gas station and naturally, they say no. I then tell them I fill the car up in my driveway. After that, they're usually interested and start asking questions.
I was referring to how detailed one can get with the cost of electricity for charging depending on time spent, electricity rates & various rate plans - all depending on the provider and city.
I charge mostly at home so it's less complicated to calculate usage. I've read in posts here at PC that some cities charge a lot more to hookup than others, so I do understand it's complicated, especially for EV's that have to stop and charge.
