Mitubishi Motors Canada is offering a hybrid battery warranty of 10 years/160,000km for the Li-Ion battery, in addition to the 10 year/160,000km powertrain warranty. As of May 2018, there's a special promo that gives you no-charge extended warranty coverage. Bumper-to-bumper is 10 years/160,000km and 10 year/unlimited km roadside assistance. Note that the fine print says any repair beyond the 5-year/100,000km will require a $250 deductible fee. Warranty is transferable to the next owner for a fee. 160k clicks? Back-of-the-napkin, that's slightly less than 100K miles. Yet in the US, if I buy in carb States, I did 150K miles. Wonder how hard it would be for you Northerners to sneak across pick one up where there's a REAL traction pack warranty. Yeah let me guess, they probably make that illegal. Then of course, there is the other thing. A battery literally has to fall out before manufacturers can NOT claim the infamous defense of, "oh - the traction pack isn't guaranteed against capacity loss". Learned that horrible lesson the hard way on the leaf, which now at least has a extremely puny capacity loss warranty. grrrrr
Transport Canada doesn't display fuel economy ratings for plug-in Outlander? Maybe because it's hard to quantify?
