I just bought my 2015 Prius and I’m not sure if I’m missing a liner or something in the center console. It doesn’t seem like it should just be blank plastic. Can anyone show me what I’m missing? Would an insert like the Carmate work without the missing piece? Thanks!
Your instincts are right. There should be a thin felt piece that lies on the base of that. It should work since it's the CarMate use is not contingent on that thin felt piece.
Finally got around to the pics. Here's the tray with the felt lining. I've taken it out and folded it to show you both sides at the same time. The foreground is rougher and is the underside of the lining. The background is a smoother, softer material. Not shown is the velcro that holds the lining in place. Your photo appears to be missing the velcro as well (it goes in that square spot)
