That was the look we we’re going for. It was very popular until the advent of the overhead door,then the electric opener. We just looked at a house the other day. Circa 1870, still had the swing out doors and they worked very well.
it's a nice garage, not huge, but good for these size cars. when we bought the place, there was a family of skunks living in the walls. at night, it sounded like they were trying to claw there way into our bedroom behind it. it took a few years to permanently dissuade them from trying to move back in. ewe replastered the garage, but i'm forever repairing the bottom where the water sits. i should have jackhammered the concrete and poured a new pad.
Skunks . At least they haven’t returned . You ever try just a thin top coat to change the pitch? Might work.
I’ve done that before, but it depends on the traffic the area sees as one factor. Ever have a contractor look at it and give you an opinion? They do these types of things for a living, so they might have some insights. But if I was getting to frequent replacements, I’d look to see what else I could do as I hate doing things over an over.
